Privacy Policy
The short version: we collect the minimum needed to print and ship your order, we never sell or share your data with anyone beyond the services that make the shop run, and there are no ad trackers on this site — the only measurement is our own anonymous visit counting and page-speed data, with no cookies and no personal information. Effective July 30, 2026.
What we collect
- Order details — your name, email address, and shipping address, collected at checkout so we can make and ship your cards and send your receipt and tracking.
- Payment information — handled entirely by Stripe, our payment processor. Your card number goes directly to Stripe and never touches our servers; we never see it.
- Anything you email us — questions, order notes, and the art files you send for custom leader cards.
- Newsletter signups — your email address, only if you subscribe, and only after you confirm the double opt-in email.
What we do with it
We use your information to print, ship, and support your orders — receipts, tracking emails, proofs for custom cards, and answering your questions. The only marketing email we send is the newsletter you explicitly signed up for, and every issue carries a one-click unsubscribe link. We never sell, rent, or trade your personal information.
Who else touches your data
A few services are involved in running the shop, strictly to do their jobs:
- Stripe processes payments and fraud screening (Stripe's privacy policy).
- Vercel hosts this website; like any web host, its servers see standard request logs such as IP addresses. It also powers the anonymous page-speed measurement described below.
- Google Fonts serves this site's typefaces, which means Google's servers see your browser's font request.
- Upstash stores our anonymous visit counters — daily totals like "the tokens page was viewed 40 times", never anything that identifies you.
- MailerLite holds the newsletter list, if you've subscribed, and handles the confirmation and unsubscribe links.
- Shipping carriers get your name and address on the label — they need it to find your door.
Cookies & tracking
No advertising trackers and no tracking cookies. We run two measurements. The first is our own first-party visit counting: your browser tells our server which page was viewed and which site linked to it, and we keep anonymous daily tallies. To count unique visitors without cookies, we tally a one-way scrambled fingerprint that changes every day — we never store your IP address, and yesterday's count can't be connected to today's. The second is Vercel Speed Insights, which reports how fast pages load (metrics like load time and layout shift). Neither uses cookies, collects personal identifiers, or can follow you across sites. Your shopping cart is stored in your own browser (localStorage) and never leaves your device — we can't even see it.
How long we keep things
Order records are kept as long as tax and accounting rules require. Custom art files are kept while your order is in progress and long enough to cover a reprint under our guarantee, then deleted — or immediately on request once your order is complete.
Your choices
Email orders@turnemsideways.com to ask what we have about you, correct it, or have it deleted. We'll do it — the only exception is transaction records we're legally required to keep.
Kids
This shop isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, the new version will be posted here with an updated effective date. Given what we collect (almost nothing), don't expect much drama.
